Mt. SAC Relays Highlights
Career Highlights

Ramona won more individual titles than any other athlete in Relays' history. She won a total of ten shot put championships by stringing together two five-year winning streaks (1985-89; 1992-96). And she added to her title haul by capturing the 1987 discus crown.

Ramona completely dominated her U.S. competitors for over a decade. She won the U.S. championship five times, and raised the American Record eight times, adding almost 4 feet to the previous record. And her final record breaking effort, 66-2 1/2, remains the American record. No other American woman has thrown within two feet of this mark. Ramona still holds seven of the top 20 throws in U.S. history.

Ramona was a member of 4 Olympic teams ('84, '88, '92, '96), and 4 World Championship teams. In 1987, she won the Pan-Am title with a toss of 60-10 3/4.
